Wet n Wild Lipstick Reviews + Swatches

Hello everyone!

After watching drugstore beauty hauls on YouTube all morning, I had a craving to go out and do my own drugstore beauty shopping. A common theme among videos was the brand Wet n Wild because, let's face it, they're usually pretty cheap and often times good quality. I haven't used Wet n Wild since early middle school when I was getting into makeup, so I was curious to see how the formula had changed over time. I'll specify the names/prices for each of the five lipsticks I picked up. And if anyone if curious, my nail polish is "for the twill of it" by Essie.

I'll start with the one on the far right, which is the only Silk Finish Lipstick I picked up.

This Silk Finish Lipstick is in the shade "Pink Ice" and was only $0.99. It's a very shimmery pink with very fine sparkles. When you put this on your lips, it's a lighter color that's a little closer to the sticker on the bottom. This glides on very easily and is also easy to remove. This has no scent or taste.

The next color in the lineup is the Mega Last Lip Color in "Dollhouse Pink" and this was only $1.99. This is a beautiful Barbie pink (hence the name) has no shimmer in it, but it does have the perfect amount of shine. This didn't glide on as easily as the Silk Finish Lipstick, but once it was on, it wasn't going to move. It's very pigmented and needs maybe two layers max. Definitely sticks to your lips, but will come off with a good scrub. This has no scent or taste.

The next color is another Mega Last Lip Color in "Don't Blink Pink" and was only $1.99. This one is a darker pink than Dollhouse Pink, but it's a really beautiful shade if you're looking for a darker pink. Again, these aren't shimmery but are shiny. Very pigmented and won't move once it's on. It feels a lot like a matte lipstick once it's applied. Also needs a good scrub to come off with no scent or taste.

The next color is a Mega Last Lip Color in the shade "Purty Persimmon" and was $1.99. I was looking for a nice bright orange color to use in a makeup look I want to try and I was definitely excited to find this one. This is a beautiful orange that looks almost red in the packaging. When applied it looks like the scarlet Crayola crayon. Again, this won't budge and they don't have any scent or taste.

The last color is, of course, another Mega Last Lip Color in "Red Velvet" and was $1.99. My sister actually bought this one as part of her Halloween costume, but it's another creamy lipstick. This one actually stains the skin around your lips so you have to be careful putting it on, or just be ready to cover up the mistakes with a concealer. This is a VERY pigmented red  and it will definitely not move once you put it on. For this one, I would suggest a makeup removing oil to really get it off. And again, no scent or taste.

And that concludes all of the colors I picked out! I might go and pick up some more neutral shades the next time I'm at a drugstore that carries Wet n Wild. I'm very impressed by the pigment of these shades and the formula used for all five. You get A LOT of product for only $0.99-$1.99. I'll definitely use these just to throw in my purse and keep in my car for everyday use.  Feel free to ask anything if you have questions!
